Q- Assalam alaikum, please can you help me? I always believed that wearing hijab is not fard by the noble Qu'ran and that it is more a custom of society. I recently heard on the news that if seperate laws were made in the U.K for muslims then it would be illegal not to wear hijab. I would like to know you opinion based on the hadith and noble Qu'ran. Many thanks.

Q- Assalamalaycom Recentely I lost my mother who i dearly loved, I find it very difficult to move on without her in my life. I feel guilty about feeling so much grief cause i no there is a afterlife but the fact she is not in my life make me feel very vunrable. I come from a very large family but i can not relate to them over my mum. They also see me as independent because since i was divorced i have supported myself and my children. Therefore they don't involve themselves with me. I have a father but he is very old and is grieving himself, so i don't like burdening him with my grief. My mother dedicated her life to my father and us children. She never hurt anybody and often reminded us of forgiveness, By the end of her life she became to weak to pray her salat. I worry about this. I pray and hope Allah SWT showers his mercy on my mother because she was one in a million.
